1. Purpose
PageBloom is a QR-based photo crowdsourcing platform for schools and educational events. School administrators create events and share QR codes; students, parents, and community members scan those codes to upload photos directly — no account required. This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) defines what conduct is permitted and prohibited. It applies to all users: school administrators, contributors (parents, teachers, students, staff), and anyone who accesses the platform via QR code or direct link.
By using PageBloom, you agree to follow this policy. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination.

4. Photo Consent Requirements
How PageBloom's Upload Flow Works
When a school admin creates an event, a unique QR code is generated. Anyone who scans that QR code can upload photos — no account required. School admins are the sole arbiters of who receives the QR code. Do not share the QR code with individuals who have not been briefed on appropriate photo conduct.
What Consent Is Required
- For events involving students under 13 (COPPA): Verifiable parental consent is required before photos of those students are collected. Schools may consent on behalf of parents for educational purposes.
- For events involving students 13–17: Parental or student consent is required (varies by jurisdiction). Your school's annual FERPA notice should disclose that PageBloom is used for event photo collection.
- For adult participants (18+): Consent from the individual is recommended, particularly for identifiable photos.
- For contributors uploading via QR: By uploading, contributors confirm they have the right to share those photos and that identifiable individuals in the photos have consented to being photographed at the event.
Minimum Consent Language
A valid consent form should include: (a) what is collected (event photos); (b) the purpose (school event photo collection via PageBloom); (c) who can see the photos (school administrators, authorized staff); (d) data retention period; (e) right to withdraw consent or request deletion.
Sample consent forms are available on request — email legal@pagebloom.app.
Admin Acknowledgment
When creating an event that may involve photos of students under 13, you will be asked to confirm that your school has obtained appropriate parental consent. This acknowledgment is recorded with a timestamp.
5. Caption & Text Rules
✅ Acceptable Text
- Names of participants pictured (with their consent)
- Event-relevant context (date, location, activity name)
- Positive, school-appropriate descriptions or captions
- Congratulatory or supportive messages
- Team names, club names, grade levels
❌ Prohibited Text
- Insults, mockery, or bullying language
- Sexual comments or innuendo
- Slurs or discriminatory language
- Private information (addresses, phone numbers, medical conditions)
- Defamatory statements about individuals
6. Moderation Process
School Administrator Moderation
School administrators are the primary moderators of contributor-submitted content. PageBloom provides moderation tools (approve, reject, flag as duplicate, categorize) in the admin dashboard.
Only school admins can see all photos uploaded to an event. Anonymous contributors can only view their own uploads. Admins should review all submitted photos before considering an event collection finalized. Photos that have not been reviewed and approved should not be treated as curated content.
